Every Indian knows the whitish spots in the sky, known to us as the Milky Way, and will tell you that it is clay, alino or alina, which makes the sky in that place look so unsightly and stained. But not everyone knows their origin. The Indian, however, will tell you that the clay comes from the big pottery that Tamushi once operated there, when he was making kalina, humans, out of alino or alina, clay or loam.

The first being (creature) conceived by Tamushi from the basic concepts is "wo" or the first word = "wo", which means human (wo-kili = man; wo-li = woman).

While political developments may have transformed the old squabbling of Western powers over the Guianas into a new squabbling of smaller potentates, even the Cooperative Republic of Guyana did little to improve the 'legal' status of the Amerindians, who do not enjoy a 'land right' enshrined in law in Brazil or Venezuela, French Guiana, or the independent Republic of Suriname, either. The installations were put into use with prayers by the padre and a shaman. Holy water was sprinkled, cigar smoke was blown to invoke long life for the equipment and Tamushi was thanked for the knowledge to harness the powers of the elements in this way.

This also means that there are still groups of indigenous people who (...) actively collaborate in pushing indigenous spirituality further into the background. The argument that 'it is all one God after all' makes no sense. If that were so, then Christians would also pray to Adayali or Tamushi. But they don't.
