“וְהַבֹּ֗שֶׁת אָ֥כְלָ֛ה אֶת־יְגִ֥יעַ אֲבוֹתֵ֖ינוּ מִנְּעוּרֵ֑ינוּ אֶת־צֹאנָם֙ וְאֶת־בְּקָרָ֔ם אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם וְאֶת־בְּנוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃”

But the Shameful Thing has consumed The possessions of our ancestors ever since our youth— Their flocks and herds, Their sons and daughters.
