The names of the twelve apostles are as follows: the first apostle is Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew his younger brother; James, son of Zebedee, and John, James's younger brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector; James, son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus; Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed the Lord Jesus.
