Rival

Definitions

1. That competes or fight with another with the end to surpass it or to obtain the same.
2. A competitor (person, team, company, etc.) with the same goal as another, or striving to attain the same thing. Defeating a rival may be a primary or necessary goal of a competitor.
3. With comparable skills (to the ones of an equal).
4. Someone or something with similar claims of quality or distinction as another.
5. One having a common right or privilege with another; a partner.
