dispositivo che si fa scorrere su un tavolo in grado di inviare un input ad un elaboratore in modo tale che ad un suo movimento ne corrisponda uno analogo di un indicatore (detto puntatore) sullo schermo. È dotato di uno o più tasti ai quali possono essere assegnate varie funzioni. In italiano è detto anche cursore.
