Over 60 years of violent conflicts between Israel and Palestine have resulted in a dire catastrophe: millions of Palestinians were forced to live either abroad as refugees without a homeland or in two regions where they were allowed autonomy: namely, the Gaza Strip and the Jordan river's west Bank. These two regions are separated by Israel’s territory.
