Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.

“אֱמֹר אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶל פַּחַת־יְהוּדָה לֵאמֹר אֲנִי מַרְעִישׁ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃”

’Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying: I will shake the heavens and the earth.

“וָאָבוֹא אֶל־פַּחֲווֹת עֵבֶר הַנָּהָר וָאֶתְּנָה לָהֶם אֵת אִגְּרוֹת הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַח עִמִּי הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׂרֵי חַיִל וּפָרָשִׁים׃”

At the beginning of April 1944, the Egyptian newspapers publicized the news of the death of Tawfiq Rif'at Pasha, the president of the Fuad I Academy of the Arabic Language. Following this news, various circles began to mention the names of Egyptian personalities as candidates for this position. And the name of Aḥmad Luṭfī es-Sayed Pasha was repeated many times.
