Thapsia, genre d’Apiacées à fruit oblong, échancré aux deux extrémités, muni de quatre ailes membraneuses. On y distingue la thapsie velue (Thapsia villosa L.) qui a une racine contenant une essence âcre et corrosive; on en fait des rubéfiants.
