  1. To turn something (such as an aircraft) into a drone by removing the crew and controlling it remotely.
  2. To convert a task, industry, or process so that it relies on the use of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles).
  3. To cause someone or something to drone (speak or sound in a dull, monotonous manner).
  4. To speak or sound in a dull, monotonous manner; to drone.
