As I lay in bed, I pondered a name for the baby. I did so very meticulously. The FInnihs name Markku pleased me, but our friend Juha Sipilä had quipped Martti that we should name him Marko. "That'd suit the son of a globetrotter like you, a nice reference to Marco Polo after all." So we ended up naming him Marko.
