Thing refers to an object [that] has shape, which is a thing that can be seen with the eye [and] can be touched [or] sensed [physically], such as notebook, pen, table, chair, car, cow, buffalo, boat... Some lawyers have expressed the opinion...that apart from meaning an object [which] has shape, a Thing must also be...capable of being valued and susceptible of being occupied...whilst some other lawyers have merely said that a Thing is an object [that] has shape.
