“jika di jakarta sangat banyak aksen #jawakarta, di inggris banyak sekali aksen #singlish […]”
if in jakarta there are a lot of (those speaking) #jawakarta accent, in england there are a lot of (those speaking) #singlish accent […]
At the college I went to, Brawijaya University (UB) in Malang, East Java, especially within the department of social sciences and humanities, (speaking in) Jawakarta was a common thing. So massive was the use of Jawakarta, to the point that my friends joked, “It feels as if our campus were in Jakarta.”
Unlike other "Jawakarta"-flavored movies, it's not only the main characters who spoke erroneously, the supporting casts did as well. Why did the movie refrain from selecting native Javanese (speakers) to act as supporting characters when it would not even matter financially?
If those trillions (rupiah) of money were spent well, Papua would not have so many people suffering from hunger. Java-centric and Jakarta-centric Indonesia has always seen Papua in monetary terms, in terms of what has been exploited etc, rather than in terms of providing dignity for fellow humans that must be respected and held high.
“Kasian juga ya orang-orang Jawakarta... Dikhianati nasi kuning abal-abal sampe zonk lalu menggeneralisasi nasi kuning as a mid Indonesian dish...”
How pitiful are these Java-centric and Jakarta-centric Indonesian people... Got betrayed by nasi kuning knockoffs till they bummed out then generalizing nasi kuning as a mid Indonesian dish...
