Amidst announcements or actual releases of large national-language Esperanto dictionaries, Wouter Pilger favors the public of Esperanto users with this small, but valuable pocket-sized booklet, dedicated mainly to students with mother tongues, for whom there are no dictionaries, or to those who have completed a first-level course, for whom consulting a large dictionary would be really burdensome.

Some have even stopped using their mother tongue altogether and are apparently unable to understand those, who like and prefer to express themselves in it.

For us Israelis (and Jews) there is no such inseparable link between language and nationality, because we have various mother tongues.
