Pars
Definitions
A province and historical region in southwestern Iran, homeland of the Persians; known to the ancient Greeks as Περσίς (Persís) or Περσική (Persikḗ), to the Romans as Persis or Persia, and to the Arabs as فَارِس (fāris).
