Definitions

1. A city, the administrative capital of Luhansk Raion, Luhansk Oblast in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine, former administrative capital of the eponymous provonce.
2. A raion of Luhansk Oblast in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine. Seat: Luhansk. The district is not recognized in Luhansk by the separatist government, as it was imposed from Kiev, which was not in control of the region at the time of its formation.
3. An oblast in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine. Seat: Sievierodonetsk; former seat: Luhansk (prior to the Donbas War, where Russia occupied and set up puppet countries)
4. A country in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine. Seat: Luhansk; occupying 1/3 of the province, but claiming all the province, before the Russian invasion of all of Ukraine in 2022.
