Definitions

1. A city, a municipal and regional administrative centre, an as well as, a raion of Donetsk Oblast in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine, on the Kalmius river.
2. An oblast in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine. Seat: Kramatorsk; former seat: Donetsk (prior to the Donbas War, where Russia occupied and set up puppet countries)
3. A self-declared country in Donetsk Oblast in the Donbas region, in eastern Ukraine. Seat: Donetsk; occupying 1/3 of the province, but claiming all the province, before the Russian invasion of all of Ukraine in 2022.
4. A town in Rostov Oblast, Russia, on the Donets river.
