  1. The Turkic tribe who served as the ruling dynasty of the Göktürks during the First and Second Turkic Khaganates (552–603 and 682–744, respectively).
  2. A Japanese clan, which became distinct from the Miura branch of the Taira clan during the late Heian period, came to prominence during the Sengoku period, and which became extinct during the early Edo period with the death of its twenty-second head, 蘆(あし)名(な)千(せん)鶴(つる)丸(まる) (Ashina Sentsurumaru, 1650–1653).
