In the 18th century--already a bit tidied up---only in Catalonia, and just for measuring land area, there were the following systems: in Barcelona and its zone of influence (Pla del Llobregat, Vallès and part of Maresme), they used the mujada (equivalent to some 49 modern-day ares), which was subdivided into quarters and sixths.
