“يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ المُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلابِيبِهِنَّ ذٰلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا”

O Prophet! Tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to have hanging-down headscarves. Through this, it is more attainable for them to be recognized, for them not to be harmed. ʾAllāh is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
