รอยกากบาทหรือรอยขีดเขียน ซึ่งบุคคลทำไว้เป็นสำคัญ หรือสำหรับผู้ไม่รู้หนังสือทำลงในเอกสารแทนลายมือชื่อ, ในทางกฎหมาย ถ้าทำลงในเอกสารโดยมีพยานลงลายมือชื่อรับรอง 2 คน หรือทำต่อหน้าพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ถือเสมอกับลงลายมือชื่อ
