Section 1449 No marriage may be entered into if the man or woman is of unsound mind or has been adjudged incompetent by the court.

“มาตรา ๑๔๕๐ ชายหญิงซึ่งเป็นญาติสืบสายโลหิตโดยตรงขึ้นไปหรือลงมาก็ดี เป็นพี่น้องร่วมบิดามารดาหรือร่วมแต่บิดาหรือมารดาก็ดี จะทำการสมรสกันไม่ได้ ความเป็นญาติดังกล่าวมานี้ให้ถือตามสายโลหิตโดยไม่คำนึงว่า จะเป็นญาติโดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายหรือไม่”

Section 1450 No marriage may be entered into between a man and a woman who are related through lineal consanguinity, either upwards or downwards, or are brothers or sisters of full blood or half blood. The relationship so described shall be considered according to the blood line, irrespective of whether or not they are legitimately related.

Section 1452 No marriage may be entered into by a man or woman whilst he or she has a spouse still.
