Section 256 Anyone who commits a bodily assault to the degree that casts a serious impact upon the person assaulted, that is to say,... (6) to the extent that the facial appearance is disfigured permanently;... [is said] to commit a serious bodily assault. He shall be liable to imprisonment from two years up to seven years.

Section 297 Anyone who commits an offence of bodily assault to the extent that causes the person assaulted to undergo serious harm shall be liable to imprisonment from six months to ten years and a fine from ten thousand baht to two hundred thousand baht.
