We were given land, and then we started cultivating it.

The [Bombay Tenancy Act] was implemented in Maharashtra. The year was 1939. After not tilling their land for 7 years, the struggle put forth by the farmers was successful. The benefits of this were made available to farmers across the state. Later, after independence, the policy of कसेल त्याची जमीन (kasel tyācī j̈amīn, “[The one who] will cultivate his land [owns it.]”) was implemented everywhere.

The blood stopped flowing by tying the bandages tightly.

“सोयरा पहावा रुसून सोनें पहावें कसून”

Test a relative by sulking and gold by rubbing (on a touch-stone).

It is said in the words of the Buddha himself, “Pure gold should be tested; do not be fooled by the colour.”

“मेरी कोमने डिंगको सिंह यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली मुष्टियुद्ध प्रशिक्षण सुरू केले. या क्रीडा प्रकरणात लवकरच तिला आवड निर्माण झाली. ती कसून सराव करू लागली.”
