[tʰaˈɫas.si.oː]

Definitions

A wedding salutation, possibly a chant or a song

declension-3

Examples

Because of this, "Thalassio" is also invoked amongst the Romans. When, during the rape of the Sabines, the plebeians were leading a certain captured beauty, they pretended she was of a noble leader, by whose name her virginity was safeguarded, so that others would not take her from Thalassius.
