Is a syllabary-like feature really a suitable way of writing Korean? Because of the syllabary-like feature of hangul, Korean speakers have to carefully think whether a consonant between two vowels should be written as a final consonant of the preceding syllable or as an initial consonant of the following syllable, and things like n-insertion, middle s and remnants of h-final nouns/pronouns/numerals are headaches when establishing or revising the hangul orthography.
