定義

《文献》　奈良時代初期（和銅5年〈712年〉）に編纂された、天皇家ゆかりの神典であり、文学書。長らく日本伝存最古の歴史書とされてきた。語り部・稗田阿礼^(（ひえだ の あれ）)が伝える日嗣ぎ（皇位継承）をほぼ忠実に記述した文献であり、太朝臣安万侶^(（おおのあそん やすまろ）)（太安万侶^(〈おお の やすまろ〉)）が撰録し、元明天皇に献上された。
