Oh, Nelly didn’t know love. Some dislike, some awe, some fright: these were the only feelings she had for the Don Juan of her life. At the beginning of Nijolė Klingaitė’s presentation, we were presented with a brief history of the Vilnius University Library. D. Robinson said that this cure was recently discovered by accident. A cat had wandered into a chemist’s shop, and the servants, tired of it, poisoned it with prussic acid and threw it away as dead. By accident, however, it fell under a vessel, from which water dripped through a tap, and the cat slowly revived. This admonition was turned to good account and has been used to help humans on several occasions.
