“וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת־בְּרִיתִי בֵּינִי וּבֵינֶךָ וּבֵין זַרְעֲךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ לְדֹרֹתָם לִבְרִית עוֹלָם לִהְיוֹת לְךָ לֵאלֹהִים וּלְזַרְעֲךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ׃”

And I will establish My covenant between Me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.

“וַיְהִי שָׁלֹם בֵּין חִירָם וּבֵין שְׁלֹמֹה וַיִּכְרְתוּ בְרִית שְׁנֵיהֶם׃”

And there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

Rabbi Judah the Prince says: any Biblical transgressions, whether repented for or not repented for, the Day of Atonement atones for them, except for rejecting the yoke of the commandments, improperly interpreting the Torah, and undoing the circumcision of the flesh.
