The "clock" was designed and made in the department of nuclear engineering at the Technion and contains three radioactive materials that have different decay rates: the first Americium-241, decays and reduces to half the amount after 458 years; the second – Carbon the reduces to half the amount after the passing of 5680 year; and the third – Niobium-94 that reduces to half its amount after 20,000 year.
