The flax and barley have been destroyed, since the barley was ripe, and the flax had formed stalks.

“וּכְתִיב ״שָׁמוֹר אֶת חֹדֶשׁ הָאָבִיב.״ אֵיזֶהוּ חֹדֶשׁ שֶׁיֵּשׁ בּוֹ אָבִיב? הֱוֵי אוֹמֵר זֶה נִיסָן וְקָרֵי לֵיהּ רִאשׁוֹן”
