A hypothetical common Scandinavian language often agreed to be spoken in Nordic meetings, in practice meaning that each participant adheres to the standard form of Swedish, Danish or Norwegian according to his/her preference thus facilitating mutual understanding and avoiding need for simultaneous interpretation.
