A food industry regulatory term for food additive which may include one or more of the following: mechanically separated (from bones) meat, internal organs, animal fat, pig skin, poultry skin and meat from the head of a cow or horse. The product resembles, but is not exactly the same as lean finely textured beef or pink slime.
