- The northeastern region of India, comprising the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. In the aggregation of seven, the region is called "Seven Sisters". Often Sikkim is included, regarded as their only "brother state" as well.
