Definitions

1. A postquel (sequel) to earlier entries in a media property, sitting after them in the fictional timeline, ignoring more recent entries, and decanonizing those later entries.
2. An interquel, a sequel to older entries of a media property, a prequel to later entries after those older entries, sitting in between entries in the fictional timeline.
3. A sequel, a new entry, in an old media property that has lain dormant for a long time; which in relation to the fictional timeline, may function as a prequel, postquel, interquel, or, sidequel.
