Meaning of købedygtig | Babel Free

Adjective CEFR B2

Definitions

having purchasing power; being able to buy goods

Examples

... but if the lower class is to be capable of buying - and the goods in whose production capital plays the largest role, are either means of production or articles of mass consumption ...

I understand that there is a difference between capable of buying and capable of paying, but I will nonetheless presume that the honoured member did not thus wish to imply that there were among the civil servants only the desire to buy, and not to pay.

One might add that in the same short while, a middle class capable of buying things of 200-300 million people has arisen in China.

To survive, they therefore opened one restaurant after the other, and the new middle class constituted a capable-of-buying and interested circle of customers.

The young had now become an exceptionally capable-of-buying and by-the-media-courted age group in its own right, which, at the same time, demonstratively turned its collective back on the material consumer mentality of society and their parents.

The globalisation gave them access to new growth markets with an increasingly large and capable-of-buying population.
