Numerous magazines and certain designers periodically elabourated lists of worst-dressed famous people. One of the best-known examples was the analyst Richard Blackwell (died October, 2008), who every year ranked the celebrities with obvious bad taste. Personalities like the singer Britney Spears, the Simpson sisters (two of the most outlandish specimens of the international showbiz crowd) or the rocker Courtney Love (the widow of grunge icon Kurt Cobain) were regularly on it.
