On Saturday at around 8 o’clock at night, at Salap in Dompur, as he was returning from a meeting with party workers, Rajib Banerjee was surrounded by Trinamool Congress workers who waved black flags at him and raised slogans against him. At this, the Central Forces who were there with Banerjee chased the protestors away with batons. 2-3 people were severely injured by the force’s lathicharge.
