In the West, there is total confusion regarding our country, and France is no exception. In the rare sources that mention Belarus, one can encounter a whole range of definitions: "Ruthénie Blanche," "Russie Blanche," "Biélorussie," and finally the challenging for the French speakers "Bélarus."
