“وقد عقد الملتقى في مقر المتحف الذي تأسس في عام 1999، والذي تألفت مقتنياته من مجموعة الدكتور نايف القسوس، أمين عام المتحف، التي كان قد جمعها خلال ثلاثين عاماً من نميات يبلغ عددها حالياً نحو 33 ألف نمية تغطي فترة زمنية تزيد على 2500 عام، بالإضافة إلى مجاميع قيّمة من أوزان ما بين النهرين والأوزان الفينيقية والرومانية والبيزنطية والإسلامية، فضلاً عن مجاميع من المسكوكات التي تعود لحضارات مختلفة مميزة وكان المميز منها عالميا نقود الأنباط ومسكوكات المدن العشرة والولاية العربية. وقد الحق بالمتحف مكتبة خاصة بعلم النميّات تعد من افضل المكتبات المتخصصة بهذا المجال على مستوى الشرق الاوسط، وقاعة للمحاضرات والندوات، تم تزويدها بأحدث الأجهزة التعليمية.”

The meeting was held in the building of the museum founded in 1999 and collecting the acquisitions from the collection of Dr. Nāyif Al-Qussūs, Secretary General of the Museum, who collected them during three years, coins the number of which reaches now about 33 thousand coins covering a time span that adds up to 2500 years, in addition to pricey sets of Mesopotamian, Phoenician, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic weights, to say nothing about the distinguished sets of coins belonging to various civilizations the most distinguished of which, in world measures, money of the Nabataeans and coins of the Decapolis and the Arabic wilayat. And attached to the museum is a special library for the study of coins considered the foremost library specialized in this field in the Middle East, and a lecture hall and seminaries, furnished with the latest educational devices.
